Greg Hawco is known as a conductor, composer, and performer. He is currently the Music Director of The Urban Orchestra. He has conducted many orchestras, including: The Ontario Philharmonic, Berlin Sinfonietta, London Classical Soloists, and The Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra. Greg received his Master’s Degree in Orchestral Performance from McGill University and his Bachelor’s Degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland.

As a composer, Greg has worked with major television networks including CBC and Global Television. His music can be heard on a number of highly acclaimed television series, including: Republic of Doyle, Caught, Trail of the Caribou, and Mary Walsh’s new web series, The Missus Downstairs. Greg is also a classical composer. His compositions have been performed with ensembles and orchestras in Canada, Poland, Australia, and the United States.

Greg also played Bodhran/Percussion for the hit Toronto Musical Come From Away from 2018 until its closing in January 2022. Greg is also a member of the traditional Newfoundland group, The Rowdymen.
